Katie currently works as an Operations Technical Specialist for Volunteers of America Oregon, a social service organization that provides a range of supportive and empowering services to the Portland Metro area's most vulnerable populations.  In her role Katie provides professional technical assistance to the Treatment Services and Children & Family Services Divisions in the areas of research, program development and implementation, budget administration, grant writing, contract and project management, and monitoring the implementation of the Divisions’ strategic plans.  Additionally, Katie serves at the chair of VOA’s Tobacco Policy Committee and has acted as a field experience supervisor to MPH practicuum students at VOA.
