Oregon MPH Program
University Public Health Departments
The Oregon Master of Public Health (OMPH) Program is a collaborative program offering eight specialty tracks across three partner institutions: Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), Oregon State University (OSU), and Portland State University (PSU).
The OMPH Program is housed within four colleges among the three partner campuses: the Schools of Medicine and Nursing (OHSU), the College of Health and Human Sciences (OSU), and the College of Urban and Public Affairs (PSU). Within these four colleges, the OMPH Program resides among five academic units: the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine (School of Medicine), the School of Nursing, Department of Public Health (College of Health and Human Sciences), Division of Public Administration in the Mark O. Hatfield School of Government (College of Urban and Public Affairs), and School of Community Health (College of Urban and Public Affairs).
The university to which a student is admitted serves as their “home” campus, taking primary responsibility for that student’s enrollment, joint-campus registration (i.e., enrolling for courses at the other two partner campuses), transcripting, and granting of the MPH degree. Within the universities, a student is admitted into a particular academic unit and, within that unit, into one of the program’s specialty tracks.
The Oregon MPH Program offers six specialty tracks, two of which are shared by two campuses. Students are admitted into a track site at one of the program's partner campuses; once admitted, students have access to courses and resources from throughout the program.

Her research on calcium and magnesium intake and the risk of colorectal adenomas has important implications for cancer control and public health. She has a great passion for integrating nutrition and prevention principles into the practice of medicine. Melissa has a very bright future ahead of her as a nutritional epidemiologist and researcher, a future that is amply supported by her growing body of scholarly work.
